Krumlov is a medieval city in the south in the Czech Republic and is located about 170 km from Prague.
It is a medieval town and is surrounded by the Vltava River, which meanders the small town. There is no airport, and for the visit you can opt for an excursion, departing from Prague, or rent a car for a day and take the drive to Krumlov.
The town is small but has a unique atmosphere. You can visit the castle, Cesky Krumlov dating from the 16th century, take a stroll through the medieval lanes of the city, have lunch in one of the restaurants overlooking the river or take a more in-depth tour of the city with a tour guide.
There is a viewpoint on the side of the castle where you can have a panoramic view of the city.
In Krumlov we saw something that we did not like at all, it was a bear in captivity that seemed to live in poor condition, the bear lives outside the castle door in a pit.
